Iva Plavcheva designed the packaging for I/TEMS, a Bulgarian brand of home fragrances that want their products to be considered the “soul of the home” by their consumers. The design features beautiful whimsical illustrations in addition to an elegant appeal overall.
“I/TEMS Design is a young Bulgarian brand. The aim of their design home collection is to touch the soul, to make life more beautiful and to bring more harmony in everyday life.
The design’s aim is to add this excellent and contemporary presence in the client’s home, keeping the promise of I/TEMS that their home accessories will be the ‘soul of your home.’”
“The design process began with the creation of a layout for the essential collection labels of I/TEMS candles with pure fragrances:
01 / ROSE
02 / LAVENDER
03 / BLACK VANILLA
04 / SANDALWOOD
The design had to be flexible enough in order to be adapted to future new collections and limited edition series in collaboration with illustrative artists.
At the same time, it has to bear the spirit of the brand - feminine, delicate and minimal, but still snazzy with a touch of luxury.”
“I chose geometric shapes - a white diamond/rhomb that was the source of the basic text information and thus to act as the attractive centre positioned at the very front - the ‘face’ of the packaging. On it the typographic elements are put in order according to their importance.”
“The diamond/rhomb is underlined with an embossing while around it a thin golden contour gravitates - hot stamped and convex.
The colours are complex and pastel.
The printed effects and the choice of designer embossed paper contribute to the elegant posh look of the label.”
