Every year The Dieline Awards brings us the best in packaging design, and this year was no exception. With 1400 entries in total this year, choosing just three winners in every category was not an easy feat —so we decided to give a few shoutouts to The Dieline Awards 2018 Merit Winners. Take a look at these amazing projects that earned outstanding achievements this year.
Fresh Food
Looye
Brandnew
How do you market tomatoes when all tomatoes basically look the same and only vary in size and price? You build Europe’s first tomato brand! Looye Kwekers took this bold step with but one aim: to become the most loved and well-known tomato grower in Germany and the Benelux.
Prepared Foods
Well Yes! Soup: Prepared Food
Bulldog Drummond
Grocery store soup sales have been declining. And if you’ve been in the soup aisle lately, you’ve most likely been overwhelmed with choices and underwhelmed with excitement. Victoria Craft Beer Week
Toolbox Design

Wine and Champagne
Mitchelton Preece Wines
Future Days
We always believed that Generative Design and wine packaging were well suited. The designs are the most detailed expression of “wine as a living thing”.
The packaging is not only conceptually unique in that it visually represents the indigenous data of each Preece wine, but each label is one-of-a-kind and non-repeatable, a first for packaging of this kind in the world.

ShenZhen Lingyun Creative Packaging Design Co.,Ltd.
This Chinese white spirit product is named HeGan, meaning that “no matter what is happening outside, it’s none of my business”. The meaning is quite abstract under the Chinese context.
