Women’s History Month is upon us, and Stacy’s Pita Chips have returned with another set of limited edition bags.

To celebrate founder Stacy Madison and the company she built, an in-house team of female designers at PepsiCo produced three designs to commemorate the core values of the brand that celebrate, support and advance women.

Without a doubt, Stacy is a passionate, entrepreneurial woman and it’s proven by her track record.

Twenty years ago, Stacy’s Pita Chip Company started from humble beginnings and a passion for food. Originally, Stacy Madison sold pita sandwiches from a small food cart in downtown Boston. Looking for a healthy variation of a chip, Stacy and her then-husband Mark transformed the soft pita into crunchy snacks and passed it out as an incentive for customers to remain in line. After two years of nonstop lines and plenty of praise, they closed the cart business to start selling chips to local retailers.

Fast forward to 2006 and $65 million worth of pita chips are flying off the shelves and Stacy’s is on the receiving end of purchasing offers. PepsiCo won the bid and continues to operate the Stacy’s Pita Chip Company out of their original factory in Randolph, Massachusetts.

The first design for “Rising to the Occasion” paints the word “unstoppable” in bold, vibrant pink letters – a message telling women they can do anything they set their mind to, especially with the support of one another.

The second design showcases talking cartoon lips with phrases like “you rock,” "you be you” and “we’ve got this,” directly translating into support for your fellow women.

The third and final design showcases a pink lion with pops of yellow, a plethora of patterns, and a Venus symbol replacing the "o” in the roar. This illustrates “women’s ferocious tenacity to advance the equality movement.”

On top of the strong, inspiring visual message, Stacy’s Snacks is also rising to the occasion by donating a total of $100,000 to women’s initiatives throughout 2018. The company’s first contribution of $25,000 will go to Step Up, a charity providing educational opportunities to girls from under-resourced communities.

Promoting a great cause and supplying inspiration in the process? What more could you possibly want out of a delicious snack?
